My earliest memory is of me on a huge playground I went to every once in a while when I was a little kid. I went with one of my good friends at the time. I remember telling my mom that I wanted to go down the slide and to have her wait for me at the end of the slide. I wanted to go down the biggest steepest one but there were also two slides on either side of the big one. I went down the big slide and was expecting to see my mom but she wasnt there. When my friend got down the slide he asked me where my mom was and I started crying because I couldnt find her. He led me around to the different slides and eventually around the entire playground so we could find her. I cried the entire time. Eventually I found my mom and she looked worried too. She told me she had been waiting at the end of one of the side slides and not the big one I went down. I decided to go down the slide again after we coordinated which slide I was going down. This time she was at the other end when I got off.

It's interesting that you remember such details about the situation, like who you were with and all the different slides. It also reminded me of similar times from my childhoos when I also thought I had lost my mom and panicked because I had major attachment issues when I was a kid.
I remember a very similar experience I had when I was very young as I was playing in the park with my dad and somehow managed to lose track of where he was. I was bawling atop and eventually one of the ladies at the park recognized me and took me too my father who had been searching for me elsewhere.
My earliest memory was similarly by a playground at school. I feel that we remember mostly the times that we enjoy as a child instead of the mundane tasks such as learning letters or words. I feel that not many people remember learning their first words or learning how to count. We all just feel like we know how to.
