Attachment Lab - Caregiver

In families where both parents spend large amounts of time away from home, I think that the prescence of a caregiver can greatly influence attachment and adjustment.  Children who are with a caregiver, and thus spend less time alone, will have someone to become securely attached too whereas other children may not.  Even in a household where the parents can be home a substantial amount, a caregiver is someone else for the child to bond with.
