Attachment Lab

The correlation seen between attachment type and well-being later in life may be because of a third variable.  For example, perhabs more nurturing, supportive, involved mothers tend to develop a secure attachment with their child.  Mothers of this type would be supportive throughout school, giving their child confidence, help, guidance, and facilitating additional social relationships through playdays and other means.  It makes sense that a mother who cares a lot early on would continue to remain involved and take an active interest in their child, making sure the stay on the right path and develop healthy relationships.
