I think that another factor that influences well-being later in life is the effect that classmates and friends have on the developing child. The peers that the child hangs out with can determine the personality of the child. For example, if the child spends time with aggressive friends, he will most likely be aggresive as well. Peer pressure can have adverse effects on the developing child.
